 Vision Statement

Each episode of Behind The Music will focus on a particular piece of sacred music. Insights will be offered into the meaning of the words and how the music supports and underscores the Biblical truths expressed in the text. A recording of the music will also be featured. Music used for the program will include works from classical literature, modern anthems, American spirituals, and great hymns of the church.

KFUO Classic 99 FMBehind The Music is a weekly radio program which examines the spiritual inspiration to be found in the world's great sacred music.  Music from the Renaissance through the present day will be featured with outstanding recordings of the music included on each episode, making the program  inspirational, educational, and entertaining.  We hope that tuning in to Behind The Music will become part of your Sunday morning routine!

New Station in St. Louis!!!

Beginning August 1st, you can again hear Behind The Music broadcast on St. Louis radio in an expanded format.  Tune in to KXEN-AM (1010 on the AM dial) Sunday mornings at 9AM each week to hear a 1/2 hour episode of the program.  KXEN reaches from Springfield, Mo to Springfield, IL and all areas in between!

You can hear a live performance of the great music heard on this program! I will direct singers from the American Chamber Chorale in a series of free concerts this summer.  The first concert is June 13th at Salem-in-Ladue United Methodist Church at 3PM.
